Adams

Retired Sgt. John M. Adams died Jan. 19. Adams joined HPD in Police Academy Class No. 39 on Aug. 26, 1968 and retired March 3, 1989 while assigned to the Homicide Division. Sgt. Adams is survived by his wife Gwen, two daughters and one son. Services were held Jan. 23 with burial in Oakhurst, Texas.

 Boutte

Clemond "Pappa" Boutte died Jan. 17. He is the father of Senior Police Officer Antonio C. "Tony" Boutte of Central Division. Services were held Jan. 20 with burial in Forest Park East Cemetery.  

 Cummings

LaQuenta Mishawn Cummings died Jan. 1. She is the daughter of deceased Officer Lynette Cummings, who died Jan. 11, 2006. She is survived by her father, Maj. Frederick Brown of the Harris County Sheriff's Office and stepmother, Senior Police Officer Stacia A. Brown of the Criminal Intelligence Division. Visitation was held Jan. 7 with burial in Houston Memorial Gardenens Cemetery in Pearland.

 Francis

Joseph Francis died Jan. 17. He is the grandfather of Officer Julius D. Francis of the Juvenile Division. Services were held Jan. 21 with burial in Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland.

 Goodwin

Mrs. Pamela Nelson Goodwin died Jan. 13. She is the sister of Officer Abrian B. Nelson of the Employee Services Division, Recruiting Unit. Services were held Jan. 21.

 Henry

Senior Police Officer Craig S. Henry of the Special Operations Division died Jan. 13. Officer Henry joined HPD on June 7, 1982. He is survived by his wife Brenda and sons Craig II and Jonathan. Services were held Jan. 21 with burial in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland.

 Jett

Richard Lee Jett died Feb. 4. He is the brother of retired Capt. Steven R. Jett, who retired from the department on Oct. 2, 1010, while assigned to the Inspections Division. Services were held Feb. 7 in Richardson.

 Kellar

Charles T. Kellar died Feb. 5. He is the father of retired Officer Michael L. Kellar, last assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Division. Services were held Feb. 8 with burial in Cashner Cemetery in Conroe.

 

 King

James Lee King died Jan. 24. He is the brother of Senior Police Officer Robert Q. King of the Narcotics Division. Services were held Jan. 26.

 Kussy

Retired Officer Robert Kussy, 92, died Jan. 17. He joined Police Academy Class No. 9 on Feb. 23, 1953 and retired on March 24, 1970. He is survived by his son Ellis. Services were held Jan. 20.

 Landrum

Margie Ruth Landrum died Jan. 21. She is the mother of Senior Police Officer Richard W. Head of the Juvenile Division. During the 1970s Mrs. Landrum was secretary to Capt. Skipper and held various civilian positions within the Juvenile, Vice, Planny and Property divisions. Services were held Jan. 25 with burial in Houston National Cemetery.

 Mize

Peggy Mize, the surviving spouse of Sgt. Raymond B. Mize, died Jan. 29. Services were held Jan. 23.

 Nealy

James Nealy died Jan. 20. He is the father of Senior Police Officer Kim R. Nealy of the South Gessner Division. Services wre held Jan. 28 with burial in Paradise North Cemetery.

 Richards

Retired Sgt. Susan J. Richards died in mid-January. She joined HPD on Dec. 27, 1966 and retired on April 23, 1994.

 Romano

Joseph Romano died Jan. 24. He is the father-in-law of Senior Police Officer Stacy L. Romano of the Burglary and Theft Division and father of Officer Brett Romano of the Metro Police Department. Services were held Jan. 27.

 Scott

Joseph E. Scott died Feb. 3. He is the father of Senior Police Officer Barney Scott of Central Division. Services were held Feb. 8 with burial in Paradise South Cemetery in Pearland.

 Sutton

Roy L. Sutton died Jan. 17. He is the father-in-law of Sgt. Barry L. Harris of the Traffic Enforcement Division, Solo Detail. Services were held Jan. 21 with burial in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland.

 Thomas

Maria Ann (Coscone) Thomas died Jan. 24. She is the mother of Senior Police Officer Christopher L. Thomas of the Airport/IAH Division.

 White

Retired Officer Arthur G. White died Jan. 17. He joined the department on July 8, 1985 and retired on July 31, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Delois, and two daughters and a son. Services were held Jan. 20 with burial in Calvary Hill Cemetery.
