Born in Houston but grew up in the Rio Grande Valley . . . A 1987 graduate of Weslaco High School . . . Served in the U. S. Navy for two years . . . Then became a guard at the Texas Department of Corrections in Huntsville . . . Entered HPD in 1996 . . . Graduate of HPD Police Cadet Class No. 168 in January 1997 . . . Joined Southeast and has never left – except for a brief period of service at 1200 Travis . . . Works the evening shift . . . Elected HPOU Board Secretary in 2007 . . . Engaged to be married to Heather Harrison , occupational therapist at Texas Children’s Hospital , in October 2008 . . . Enjoys running, swimming , and bike riding . . . The proud owner of Lucky, the Dalmatian.
