The HPOU has located numerous incorrect pay rates and some officers were told by payroll incorrect dates when their base pay should begin. 

BASE PAY

The years are from the day you started the academy.  Please check your latest pay check and make sure you are being paid correctly.  If you find errors, contact payroll.  If the errors are not corrected, contact JJ Berry 832 200 3401 or Ray Hunt 832 200 3417

Police Officer

1^st year             $1484

2^nd year            $1547

3^rd &4^th years   $1628

5^th year            $1730

6^th year                        $1794

7^th-9^th years      $1895

10^th and over   $2062

Senior Police Officer

16^th year and under     $2106

17^th year and over       $2276

Sergeant

3^rd-9^th years             $2546

10^th-16^th years        $2634

17^th year and over  $2776

Lieutenant

5^th-9^th years            $2858

10^th-16^th years        $2957

17^th year and over  $3116

Captain

7^th-9^th years            $3273

10^th-16^th years        $3472

17^th year and over  $3569

Look at your latest pay check and find the base pay rate in the top section.  Multiply that figure by 80 (hours in a pay period) and you should have the above numbers depending on your rank and years.  Remember, the years are from the day you started the academy.
