HPD Officers to Help Kids in Need of Back to School Supplies
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. TODAY (Wednesday, August 18), Houston police officers assigned to the Sunnyside Storefront will provide back to school supplies to help outfit more than 50 area young students.
The Southeast Community Services Back to School Drive will be held at the Sunnyside Storefront at 3511 Reed Road.
Officers will distribute 50 backpacks complete with school supplies to 25 elementary students and 25 middle school students. They will also provide raffle gift cards and educate students and parents with back to school safety tips.
