HPD Mounted Patrol to Assist Star of Hope
At 12:15 p.m. TODAY (Friday, August 20), Houston police officers assigned to the Mounted Patrol Division will donate several pallets of soap to the Star of Hope.
Mounted Patrol, a horse assigned to mounted patrol, and officers will be present to unload the donation at 419 Dowling.
This donation of soap was put together by officers assigned to mounted patrol when they were made aware that Star of Hope was in need of soap in order to continue to assist the community. Officers raised over $600 dollars amongst themselves and their families and were provided an additional donation by Sam's Club #8217, 1615 South Loop West at Fannin of $300 to assist the Star of Hope.
Officer Horace Mann will pick up a pallet of Lever and an additional pallet of Dial from Sam's Club this morning and deliver it to the Star of Hope. On-site parking will be available across the street.
