HPD TEAMS UP WITH HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TO KEEP HOUSTONIANS HEALTHY AND SAFE
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on SATURDAY (Sept. 18), Houstonians are invited to a day of fun at the Houston Police Department's 2nd Annual Health and Safety Fair at the HPD Southeast Patrol Station, 8300 Mykawa Road.
HPD officers will be on hand to educate the public on how they can help "Keep Houston Safe."
Health professionals will be present to conduct a number of free services including: blood pressure checks, eye exams, cholesterol checks and HIV testing. Dental professionals will be available to show kids and adults the correct way to brush and floss.
To help kids going back to school, free child immunizations will also be offered. Parents are encouraged to bring a copy of their child's shot records, but it is not required.
Free food and drinks will be provided. Participants can also look forward to seeing an HPD helicopter and a Giant Monster Truck. There will also be free Face Painting and Costumed Characters for the kids to enjoy.
