HPD, Area Agencies to Host Domestic Violence Education Summit

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 16), Houston police officers will join local agencies in making the community aware of the serious issue of domestic violence at a "Domestic Violence Education Summit" at the River Oaks Crown Plaza Hotel at 2712 Southwest Freeway. 

Representatives from HPD's Victim Services and Family Violence Units, the Houston Area Women's Center, the Harris County District Attorney's Office and Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse will offer information about the assistance available to domestic violence victims.
