HPD Air Support Celebrates 40 Years of Serving and Protecting
At noon TODAY (Thursday, Oct. 21), members of the HPD Air Support Division will join local dignitaries to celebrate 40 years of helping to Keep Houston Safe in an anniversary celebration at the HPD Hangar at Hobby Airport at 8402 Larson Street.
During special ceremonies, Air Support officers will be recognized for their use of the FLIR (forward looking infrared) cameras in making arrests, and there will be demonstrations of the cameras and live video downlink capabilities of the HPD helicopters.
