Dear Mr. Hunt and the HPOU Membership:

I want to thank the Houston Police Officers Union for its consideration and support of my campaign for Houston City Council for the at Large 5 Position.

My campaign team and I worked very hard during our 96 day campaign, and we believe we made tremendous strides receiving really great endorsements such as this one.

I started out as a virtual unknown in politics when I announced my candidacy in late July 2011, but I and my campaign team worked diligently, and our hard work resulted in the support of several major endorsements and garnering 20,000 votes. According to every politically astute and experienced person I have spoken with what we accomplished together is significant. This is something that I am very proud of and know would not have been possible without this endorsement and the support of your membership.

I want to again say thank you!

I will continue to review my future options to make a political difference for the City of Houston, and will stay in contact with Houston Police Officers Union and its membership to ensure I continue to promote your mission and objectives for quality public safety and a quality of life for your membership and families.
