After five days of around the clock voting, HPD officers voted by a margin of 1,379 or 67% For the amendments to 662 or 33% Against. The amendments that were approved by officers will extend the Meet and Confer Agreement between the HPOU as the Sole and Exclusive bargaining agent for all Houston Police Officers to June 31, 2010. The next step in the process is presentation and vote for approval by City Council on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. The new additions to the contract can be reviewed by going to the Member link.
