The President is requesting information from officers who can provide specific examples of the problems they face in the workplace, and suggestions to addressing them.

Although there will be some overtime dollars thrown at the staffing problem, that alone will not solve many of the problems here at HPD. Many of you have heard or read about some of the proposals that the Mayor and Command Staff are floating in the public.

In an effort to provide some realistic solutions to the problems and impediments that officers face on a daily basis, I am requesting that officers in each workplace, take note and provide an explanation of the problem(s) that you believe are present, and provide some detailed suggestions/solutions to address them.

Please forward your suggestions to Hans1662@aol.com in a relatively timely manner. I am looking forward to receiving real examples of the different workplace issues that affect your ability to do the job. This information will help us to prepare solid solutions and provide support in addressing these issues.
